This is only my second time using CAD, so the bulk of my time was spent trying to design several simple items to print. This is my first time 3D printing. My final project concept is related to my dog. I started with thinking about a dog collar. However, the filament is not sufficiently pliable. Plus, I learned it's very challenging to create a buckle.
I next tried creating a dog toy that I could put treats inside. This was a major failure due to poor design.
Next, I tried to create a vase. Also a failure:
Finally, I tried something much simpler. Playing pieces for checkers. Initially worked, but then failed to print all the way and, again, failed design:
For scanning I used Polycam on my iphone. I tried to scan the top of my travel coffee mug (one of which I'm missing). Let's just say it didn't go as envisioned.
